Users who rely on EasyLogin or Decentralized Two-Factor Authentication (D2FA) will want to pay close attention to the recommended reset steps.

What's new

AES-GCM Encryption and Key Derivation

Zelcore 8.15.0 replaced the previous encryption approach with the Advanced Encryption Standard in Galois/Counter Mode (AES-GCM), one of the most widely adopted authenticated encryption standards in modern cryptography. Alongside the cipher upgrade, the release also significantly improved AES key derivation techniques, making brute-force attacks substantially harder against locally stored credentials.

Because the encryption and derivation changes affect how EasyLogin and D2FA secrets are stored, Zelcore strongly encourages all users to reset both features after updating. The reset process regenerates your credentials under the new scheme. Skipping it does not break access, but it leaves those credentials protected only by the older method until a reset is performed. The recommendation is in the changelog and applies to every user regardless of platform.

Fluxnode Dashboard Revamp

The Fluxnode Dashboard received a complete refactor in 8.15.0, touching both the backend logic and the frontend interface. The redesign aimed at improving clarity, usability, and overall functionality for node operators managing Flux infrastructure.

The previous dashboard accumulated incremental additions over time, which made navigation and status monitoring less straightforward than it should have been. The revamp consolidates that experience into a more coherent layout. Node operators will find that status indicators, management controls, and relevant data are organized more logically.

Additional Updates

Czech (CS) and Indonesian (ID) translations were refreshed in this release, bringing those localizations up to date with recent UI changes. Biometric authentication also received an upgrade: the implementation now combines keystore and biometric secrets rather than relying on either alone, which raises the bar for unauthorized access even on a compromised device.

How to update

Open Zelcore and go to Settings to trigger the update, or download the latest build directly from zelcore.io. After updating, reset your EasyLogin and D2FA credentials to ensure they are protected by the new AES-GCM encryption scheme.
