Zelcore 8.28.0 introduced Rango DEX swap support, bringing cross-chain token swaps directly into the wallet with client-side signing. Users who hold assets across EVM chains, Solana, Tron, Cosmos, TON, NEAR, Sui, and Kadena can now swap without leaving Zelcore.
What's new
- Rango DEX swap support across eight blockchain ecosystems with client-side signing
- Improved swap experience with loading indicators, dynamic status labels, and real-time progress notifications
- Native token address corrections for Base, Arbitrum, and Ink chains
Rango DEX Swap Support
Zelcore 8.28.0 added Rango DEX as a swap provider, enabling cross-chain token swaps from inside the wallet. The integration covers a broad set of chains: EVM-compatible networks, Solana, Tron, Cosmos, TON, NEAR, Sui, and Kadena. Signing happens client-side, so private keys stay in your custody throughout the swap — consistent with Zelcore's self-custodial design.
To use it, navigate to the Swap section in the app and select Rango as your provider. Choose your source and destination assets, review the route, and confirm the transaction. The swap executes on-chain and appears in your swap history once complete.
Swap Experience Improvements
Alongside the Rango integration, this release refined the swap interface in several ways. A loading spinner overlay now appears during swap execution so the app communicates clearly that a transaction is in progress. Swap history entries now show dynamic status labels that update as the swap moves through its stages, rather than a static final state. Three new in-app notifications track the lifecycle: swap sent, executing swap, and approving token. These changes make it easier to follow what is happening between the moment you confirm a swap and the moment it settles.
Bug Fixes
Two fixes shipped in 8.28.0. Transaction Search received safety guards that prevent crashes when the app encounters undefined transaction data, addressing an edge case that could cause unexpected exits. Swap History fee display was corrected to handle cases where fee values are missing, preventing the history view from showing malformed figures.
Native token contract addresses for Base, Arbitrum, and Ink were also updated to the canonical native token address for each chain, ensuring accurate token identification across those networks.
How to update
Zelcore updates automatically in the background. You can also trigger an update manually by opening Settings inside the app and checking for updates. If you prefer a fresh install, download the latest build at zelcore.io. Once you are on 8.28.0 the Rango swap option will be available immediately.
