Zelcore 8.38.0 Security Screening & XDC Network release illustration

Scam & Drainer Screening in Zelcore 8.38.0 checks addresses, token spenders and dApps before you sign. The release also adds XDC Network support, an Ergo token storage rent alert and 142 new tokens. These changes give you more information at the point of action and expand what you can manage in Zelcore.

At a glance

Scam & Drainer Screening and Spam Token Filter

Before you send, swap or approve a WalletConnect request, Zelcore checks the recipient, token spender and dApp against known scam and drainer lists. A match triggers a red warning. If the match is a known scam, you must explicitly confirm before signing. The check appears before the action that matters, giving you a chance to inspect what you are about to authorize.

The screening covers more than the address receiving a transfer. A token spender or connected dApp can also be the source of a warning when you approve a WalletConnect request. Read the warning alongside the request details before you decide whether to continue. If you prefer to disable screening, the control is under Settings > Security.

The separate Spam Token Filter helps with unwanted assets in your portfolio. Turn on Hide spam tokens under Settings > Security to hide tokens flagged as honeypots, fakes or airdrop scams. The filter is off by default. Hiding a token does not delete it: hidden tokens remain available under Asset Management, where you can show one you want to see. Screening gives you a warning before signing, while the filter gives you control over which flagged tokens appear in your portfolio.

XDC Network and 142 New Tokens

XDC Network is now a fully supported blockchain in Zelcore. You can view XDC balances and transaction history, send and receive, and export transactions as CSV. USDC and Wrapped XDC ship with the network. To manage another XDC token, add it by its contract address.

XDC addresses work in either spelling. Zelcore accepts an xdc… address when you send XDC or an XDC token, and when you import an XDC token. On the Receive screen, you can see both the 0x… and xdc… forms of your address and copy either one with its own button. If you paste an xdc… address into another network’s send screen, Zelcore refuses it and identifies the network it belongs to. That check helps keep an XDC address out of a send on the wrong chain.

The release also adds 142 popular tokens on Ethereum, BNB Smart Chain, Base, Arbitrum, Optimism, Solana, TON, Sui and Cardano. More of the tokens you can swap can now also appear among the assets you hold. Together, XDC support and the wider token list expand the balances and transaction history you can manage from Zelcore, while the XDC address checks make the send and receive steps clearer.

Ergo Tokens at Risk Alert and Storage Rent

On Ergo, a box that remains unmoved for four years with too little ERG can be claimed by anyone, including the tokens inside it. A private key is not required to make that claim. Zelcore 8.38.0 checks the Ergo address of every wallet with Ergo activated right after you log in, so you can see when your tokens need attention.

If any Ergo token box becomes claimable within a year, a dialog lists each affected wallet, its tokens and the date. Choose Secure my tokens to make a self-transfer. That move places the tokens in a single box with enough ERG to cover storage rent for decades. The alert appears at every login until the tokens are secured, and the Ergo send screen links to it while a wallet is at risk.

The send screen for every Ergo asset also explains the four-year rule in plain words and links to the announcement. You can review that explanation when handling an Ergo asset, even if you do not see an alert. The login check points to token boxes approaching the claimable date; the self-transfer gives you a way to move those tokens into a box with longer rent coverage.

Smaller updates

An Ergo token transfer now attaches 1 ERG to the recipient’s box. Sending one requires at least 1 ERG plus the fee; swaps and Fusion deposits keep the 0.001 ERG minimum. The Flux–Ergo bridge is terminated. FLUX-ERG balances at Ergo block 1,878,291 are honored 1:1; do not buy FLUX on Ergo.

The Solana Earn wizard now asks for at least 1.0023 SOL for a new stake account, and confirmation shows the validator receiving the stake. Flux Earn Redeem shows and pays the full amount, including the returned Titan stake. The Stable Assets group again includes seventeen stablecoins missing from its list. Token balance reads now report an unreachable node as an error instead of leaving old balances on screen without a warning. This release also includes UI/UX improvements, stability fixes, performance optimizations and general bug fixes.

How to update

Zelcore offers the update automatically inside the app. When it appears, update to 8.38.0 to use Scam & Drainer Screening, XDC Network support and the Ergo token alert. You can also download the latest version from https://zelcore.io/wallet. After updating, open Settings > Security if you want to turn on Hide spam tokens or adjust screening.
