Legacy Zelcore has been deprecated and users must migrate to the new BIP44 Zelcore. This involves downloading the latest Zelcore, creating a new BIP44 account, and manually transferring your assets. The new BIP44 standard provides better security, improved backup and recovery options, and enhanced compatibility with other wallet applications.
Follow these steps exactly as outlined in the official PDF guide. Always test with small amounts first before transferring larger balances.
Get the latest Zelcore from the official website: https://zelcore.io/ and install it on your preferred device. You can use the same device as your legacy Zelcore or a different one.
Open Zelcore and choose 'Sign/Register with BIP44 seed phrase account' on the welcome screen. Generate your 24-word seed phrase, write it down and store it securely—do not copy/paste it into a document on your computer.
In BIP44 Zelcore, add all the assets you'll be migrating. Get your new receive addresses by copying them or scanning QR codes. From your legacy Zelcore, send your assets to your BIP44 Zelcore addresses. Always test with a small amount first.
If you have Flux nodes: Delete each node from the legacy Nodes app and immediately send collateral to your BIP44 Flux wallet. Set up each node in the BIP44 FluxNodes app, wait for 100 confirmations, update node details, and start your nodes.
Once the lock period ends, your stake will appear in the Expired section. Select Redeem, choose the Redeem Address, and sign the redemption. Funds are processed on Thursdays and Sundays. Export all transactions as CSV for documentation. You may restake using your BIP44 wallet if desired.
