Zelcore 8.33.0 added full support for the Hyperliquid HyperEVM network, giving users of the native HYPE coin a home in their existing wallet alongside a set of HyperEVM tokens. The release also carried fixes to BitcoinZ sending and the Buy/Sell transaction history popup.
What's new
- Added support for the Hyperliquid HyperEVM network (chain 999) and its native HYPE coin, including send, receive, and balance/transaction history
- Added the WHYPE, PURR, USDC, and USDT0 tokens on Hyperliquid HyperEVM
- Hyperliquid HyperEVM (eip155:999) is now recognized over WalletConnect and supported by FIO Crypto Handles
Hyperliquid HyperEVM
Zelcore 8.33.0 brought the Hyperliquid HyperEVM network into the wallet, with support for its native HYPE coin covering send, receive, and full balance and transaction history. This brought the total number of blockchains supported in Zelcore to 98. HyperEVM users could now manage HYPE alongside their other holdings in the same interface they already used for the rest of their portfolio, without needing a separate wallet or a separate browser extension for the network. Send and receive worked the same way it did for every other coin in Zelcore, and balance and transaction history synced automatically, so HYPE holders got the same self-custodial experience they already relied on for their other assets, now extended to Hyperliquid's own execution layer.
HyperEVM Tokens and Connectivity
Alongside the native coin, Zelcore added support for four tokens on Hyperliquid HyperEVM: WHYPE, PURR, USDC, and USDT0. Holders of these assets could now track balances and move funds directly from Zelcore rather than relying on a separate HyperEVM-specific wallet. The network was also wired into Zelcore's WalletConnect support, recognized under its chain identifier eip155:999, so users could connect Zelcore to HyperEVM-based decentralized applications and sign transactions from within the wallet they already used across other chains. FIO Crypto Handles gained support for the network as well, letting users send HYPE or any of the four new tokens to a registered FIO handle instead of copying and pasting a raw HyperEVM address, reducing the chance of a mistyped or mismatched address on a new network.
How to update
Existing users could update through the automatic update prompt in Zelcore Settings. New users could download the latest version from zelcore.io. Updating brought Hyperliquid HyperEVM support, its four new HyperEVM tokens, WalletConnect and FIO Crypto Handle support for the network, and the BitcoinZ sending and Buy/Sell history fixes included in this release.
